Anna's Taqueria: Authentic Mexican Dining Experience in Newton Highlands

Great food, I want to go to Mexico after this meal. Great mexican bowl, very simple, quick and fast service, they have option to dine in and for take out. Food is fresh, very tastefull and with great aromas. Real mexican food, it deserves every good word for it. Well done!! Place is big so its not great atmosphere , at least not at 9pm, its nice and in mexican style. Prices are very low and reasonable. Portion is bigger then regular.

Honesty I give this place a 10/10 , but never had a problem before till now , I ordered a super super steak burrito and I ended up getting what it seems regular or super burrito, and I tried to call them to let them know and honestly I don’t understand why is there even phone number to call if they don’t answer, I called 4 times and all it does is ring and ring and no answer I was waiting for almost 5 min for someone to answer but come on you gotta fix that! I contacted doordash because is the place where I placed my order!! But I’m really disappointed today I always get delivered the same thing and today was not the case

Really good! Gluten free options. Employee got the manager so there was no miscommunication with needing to be gluten free. I will definitely go again the next time I’m in the area.

Anna's has been my favorite cheap place to eat in Boston for over 20 years. Initially, my favorite thing about Anna's burritos? The beautiful, tasty juices that'd drip from the tortilla into the foil that I'd then slurp out when no one was looking. Now my favorite part? The steamed flour tortillas, a trick stolen by both Anna's and Boca Grande from the celebrated taquerias of the San Francisco Mission. The steaming process helps make the tortilla edges sticky enough to bind and seal everything in, so that the burrito can be eaten vertically, and that the mixture of hot sauce, vegetable juices, melted cheese, and meat fat mingle and combine. My burrito of choice is a Super Burrito with Carnitas, Pinto Beans, Rice, Cheese, Salsa (Cilantro, Onion, Tomato), all wrapped in a flour tortilla.. This Anna's location in Newton is just minutes off of highway 128, which makes it more convenient for me in many ways than any of their other locations. Initially, they had quality problems. After one such unsatisfactory visit, I called into the store manager and she patiently listened as I complained to her for a half hour about the hold times for the carnitas, that her employees weren't steaming the tortillas long enough, that I didn't believe her employees should ask people if they want lettuce because the original Anna's never did, that lettuce on burritos is revolting, that only cretins put lettuce on their burritos, and so on. She most surely thought I was nuts, but one thing she couldn't doubt was the passion I had for their product, so she listened. Personnel and training were the reasons given to me for the issues. Gradually, changes were made. The store improved. And now I'm comfortable saying this is one of Anna's best locations. There are many places in and around Boston where the food is cheap and good, but there is no such place I'd rather eat than here. I live in San Diego, a city known for its burritos, and I can't enjoy them because they're all both objectively and subjectively inferior to Anna's. In this way, Anna's has ruined burritos for me.

Anna's Taqueria is a chain of quick service Mexican restaurants serving a wide assortment of Mexican dishes. The service is quite fast, and the meals are prepped quickly so you can eat right away. I got the Birria tacos, which were a bit of a disappointment as it wasn't how I am used to seeing Birria. The tacos themselves were good, though on the pricier side. The sauce provided was good as well, though wasn't what I was expecting.

First time here. Got chicken and steak mixed burrito. 12 inch. Saved 1/2 for tomorrow’s lunch. I was pleased they had cups for self serve water. Fresh burrito and tasty.

The Best burrito in USA like Reader's Digest Selections said years ago and is the same quality and taste, totally recommend it, I am Mexican and I know what I am saying.

The food is fresh and delicious. I have eaten a couple of times here or more during the years . My new conquest is the aqua Fresca that is good or fire , that means the same . The place is always very clean including the bathrooms . It’s near my home and opened late especially compared to other places near my home in Newton. The staff is friendly. The vibe is welcoming. I have eaten inside and have had take out on various occasions. The price is good for value and portion size overall . They have metered parking or a lot close with metered parking . Parking is not an issue .
